Erik James Egler (born October 16, 2004) is an emerging director and screenwriter from Leipzig. From an early age, he discovered his passion for storytelling, starting with short stories before transitioning to screenwriting. Alongside his love for writing, he developed a keen interest in photography, which ultimately led him to apply to the SAE Institute in Leipzig.
During his studies, he directed three short films, including his latest work, Whispers in Ink, a coming-of-age drama with thriller elements, which he successfully completed as part of his Diploma at the SAE Institute.
He focuses on crafting compelling narratives that captivate audiences and evoke deep emotions. In addition to his own projects, he has gained extensive on-set experience and worked as an assistant director on 2045 – The Creators by Richard Hollerung.
