Erik Bloomquist is a two-time Emmy Award Winner (Outstanding Director & Writer). Recent features via production outfit Mainframe Pictures include political slasher Founders Day (2024), teen musical romance Intermedium (2023), and summer camp horror-comedy She Came from the Woods (2022) starring Cara Buono and William Sadler.
Last year, Founders Day was released in 750 theaters across the country and is currently available on all major VOD outlets and Shudder in the UK.
Film Threat says, “Bloomquist is primed to become the next A-list director, and [his] genre mashup highlights why he deserves to be.”
Bloomquist recently wrapped internet cult thriller Self-Help starring Jake Weber. He has directed five other features running the genre spectrum, with notable festival selections including Toronto After Dark, London Frightfest, SCAD Savannah Film Festival, HollyShorts, Popcorn Frights, Soho International Film Festival, Grimmfest, Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, and Screamfest.
