I've always wanted to make films. I knew this from a very young age.
My wife Erin Trainer and I co-own a communications and video production company called ET2media. We work with a wide range of companies, government organizations and Indigenous groups. We're both avid trail runners, cyclists and photographers.
In 2011, we retired ourselves from television news so we could spend more time being creative and exploring the great outdoors.
In 2009, we won an RTNDA (Radio-Television News Directors Association) Award for a TV news series I produced, shot and edited called Islanders in Nepal.
I'm proud to have served on the board of the Ryga Arts Festival and the Summerland Skatepark Committee. The festival and the skatepark continue to thrive.
