I'm a screenwriter and I've been involved in the making of two films. My wish is to not only inspire people through my films, but to greatly improve representation for handicapped people in front of the camera, behind it, and backstage.
I'm Erica Pawluk. I was 14 ounces when I was born, have cerebral palsy, and am trying to break into the Hollywood industry. I want to be a voice for screenwriters and share my story of perseverance. I want to inspire people to follow their dreams, whatever they may be. I've been blessed with the ability to share my truth and emotions through the stories that I create.
I worked at the Moving Image Research Collection, which is one of the biggest film archives in the country, at USC as an intern during the summer of 2017. I was the light board operator for Camp Rock: The Musical at Irmo High School Center for the Arts in 2018.
I've met celebrities which include Emmy Award winner Finola Hughes, Ryan Paevey, Emmy winner Laura Wright, Charles Esten of Nashville fame, stage and television actress Allison Munn, and producer and actor Scott Holroyd. I've truly been inspired by their work and appreciate their kindness. All of these experiences have helped shape me into the artist and writer that I am today.
I'm a natural writer. My process is as follows: My characters and stories come to life in my dreams and I put it on paper.
At the time of my birth in 1993, I set a record as the smallest baby to survive at the size of 14 ounces in my home state of South Carolina.

Dreams was written as a short film during my last semester at the University of South Carolina. I earned a BA in Media Arts in 2017.
