My journey in the film industry began in Turkey, where I built a career in lighting and
cinematography. Over the years, I expanded my work to New York and now proudly continue
my professional journey in Florida. This vibrant and welcoming environment has provided
incredible opportunities, and I would love to share my story with your readers on a local level.
Starting as a lighting assistant in Turkey in 1998, I had the privilege of being part of the last
generation of Yeşilçam filmmakers. This era—filled with passionate storytellers and visionary

directors—shaped my deep appreciation for cinema as an art form. I was captivated by the
power of lighting: its ability to transform a scene, evoke emotions, and elevate storytelling
became my lifelong passion.
Over the years, I have worked on 65 movies and series, produced four films, acted in 14,
directed one, as Cinematographer two and written one. My projects have included music videos
and productions featured on platforms like Netflix and Disney. Collaborating with European
filmmakers and working across different cultures have broadened my artistic perspective and
technical expertise. However, what I find most fulfilling is mentoring young filmmakers.
Supporting and guiding emerging talent has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my
journey.
