Endora Film Fest is a one-day exposition of new, independent cinema held in magical, musical Lockhart – just south of Austin, in the BBQ Capitol of Texas!

We take our name from Lockhart's fictitious name in WHAT'S EATING GILBERT GRAPE, the epic drama starring Leo DiCaprio, Juliette Lewis & Johnny Depp, shot here in the 1990s.

Our fest is nestled in the Gaslight Baker Theatre, a century-old venue one block from the Caldwell County Courthouse in the downtown Square.

We combine rad live music with new indie cinema to create a memorable festival: this year it coincides with a ballot initiative to decriminalize marijuana in Lockhart – held the Sunday before Election Day – so programming may lean into criminal-justice & cannabis narratives & documentaries!

Endora – an annual fest in Caldwell County – is a project of Lost River Film Fest, in Hays County, who also runs Scrambled Genius Film Fest in Guadalupe County.
(Films submitted to any of these three fests will be eligible for selection in one of the other fests at no extra cost.)
