Emma Ciprian is a queer artist and filmmaker based in Vancouver, BC, who has a diverse creative background and artist skillset stemming from a life growing up in theatre and the performing arts. She started her post-secondary career as an actress, but with her deep love for the art of filmmaking has since refocused her studies and moved her career behind the camera. Her more frequent film production work manifests in the roles of assistant director, producer, or other organization-based positions. Her post-production work mainly consists of picture and sound editing.
When not working on films, she returns to her roots of work in the performing arts, with experience in technical assistance, assistant directing, stage management, and occasionally moonlighting as a performance artist.
She has her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree as a Film Production major from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver.
