Born in Istanbul at 27/11/2000. Emir Aktel is a versatile artist with his main focus on cinema. He graduated film school at Istanbul Kültür University.
In 2016 he founded Mellonlar, a community of art lover people. The main idea for this club was bringing artists together as friends and supporting them to create unique projects with complete creative freedom. Before 2022 Mellonlar produced many short film projects, some of these films won awards through festivals and these films found viewers all arround the world through global festivals.
At the same time Emir had 2 production companies named 24 Creative and Wires Company, with these companies he worked in production industry.
After 2022, Mellonlar was divided to 3 divisions: Mellonlar Club, Mellonlar Media and Sponeck Films.
Mellonlar Club became a community for artists, their main objective is giving value to artists works and making media programs with them. This division is not exclusive for cinema, it produces media contents for all kinds of art.
Sponeck Films division is producing avant-garde short films, main idea for this effort is giving value to cinema's original form which is director-driven short films.
Mellonlar Media division works as a independent production company, it has all the services for all of the production stages. This division creates it's own projects and produces them in various ways such as feature films and feature documentaries
As a filmmaker Emir directed some award winning short films, feature documentaries, media programs and all kinds of media contents. His notable films are ''Becoming Ordinary'' ''Blackmail'' ''The Exhibition'' ''Penguin's Farewell'' and his notable documentary is ''Baraz: Revolution in the Turkish Art''
He also founded Independent Cinephiles Short Film Festival, and he also is a actor both on and off the screen. He also gave education in the class called ''Acting in front of the camera'' and ''Photograpy'' and he is a part time musician.
