Emily Kirk is an award winning Los Angeles actor and stand up comedian who hails from southern Indiana. She studied theatre in Indiana and has continued her training in film acting and improv while living in Los Angeles.
Her directorial debuts were her very low budget but genuine and heartfelt short, Little Talks and a piece called simply, Untitled. While, she loved and learned from the experience of creating both pieces, Emily went forward to make Happenstance a much stronger sophomore moment, while still containing the heart and honesty of her previous projects.
Emily also performs in two sketch groups, Mixed Nuts and The Madcap Underground and has been doing stand up comedy since 2016. Including Happenstance, her acting repertoire includes: starring lead in Prey Film's feature Vengeance Girl, starring lead in the short film Farah, performing stand up comedy at the 4th Annual Laugh Riot Grrrl Comedy Festival and producing and starring in CLOSER: A Scene Reimagined. Along with acting, she loves being a karaoke DJ, making latte art and performing with her boyfriend in their cover band, Devily.
