Emanuel Lavor is a Brazilian filmmaker with a degree in Performing Arts from the University of Brasília and a master's in screenwriting from EICTV (Cuba). He is currently developing his debut feature A ONÇA, to be shot in August 2026. In 2025, he was selected for the GMM LA Residency by Film Independent (USA), and in 2024–2025 participated in the Paradiso Incubator (Projeto Paradiso, with tutors Céline Sciamma and Helen Beltrame Linné). In 2024, he was part of Berlinale Talents and one of ten filmmakers selected for the Berlinale Script Station (mentored by Selina Ukwuoma). In 2023, he joined the Paradiso Talent Network after winning a prize at GUIÕES (Portugal). In 2022, he received the main Jury Award, the BioBio–Chile Award, and the Audience Design Award from the World Cinema Fund (Berlinale) at Brasil CineMundi. His short film THE BEADS (2023) (co-directed with Rafaela Camelo) premiered at Berlinale Shorts 2023 and won awards at festivals including Ibiza and Filmfest Dresden. He is currently finalizing his new short, MÚSICA SECULAR.
