Ella Altman is a France-based director, writer, editor, and musician.
Her films explore intimate relationships between women, delving into their realities while creating a new one within the film. Her first film, The Holocaust is Over Bitch (2019), reconnects with her Polish lover through a song. Lover (2023) is a musical fiction about a directress who invites an actress to portray her lover in a film without a script, questioning the boundaries of their romance.
Altman has participated in international group exhibitions, including Panorama 25 and Panorama 26 (The annual exhibition of the artists working at Le Fresnoy - National Studio of Contemporary Arts).
Her films were shown in international film festivals; Madrid LGBT Film Festival, Oslo Fusion Film Festival, Shortwaves Film Festival, DC Independent Film Festival, Tel Aviv LGBT Film Festival, Girona Intl.
