Sono aperte le iscrizioni all'ottava edizione dell’Edera Film Festival, in programma a Treviso, presso il Cinema Edera, dal 29 luglio al 1° agosto 2026.

L’Edera Film Festival nasce nel 2018 per ospitare opere di filmmaker emergenti, impegnati a narrare la realtà e le sue trasformazioni, con particolare attenzione alla capacità di penetrare le contraddizioni del mondo contemporaneo e sperimentare forme di linguaggio originali e innovative.

Promosso dall’associazione culturale Orizzonti, in collaborazione con il cinema Edera, e con il patrocinio della Regione Veneto e del Comune di Treviso, il festival si avvale della direzione artistica della regista Gloria Aura Bortolini, di Giuliana Fantoni, esercente del cinema Edera, e dello storico del cinema Giuseppe Borrone.

Submissions are now accepted for the eighth edition of Edera Film Festival, which will be held in Treviso (Italy), at the Cinema Edera, from July 29th to August 1st 2026.

The Edera Film Festival will host the works of emerging filmmakers, who are engaged in the description of contemporary world and its transformations, by using an original and fresh language.

Promoted by cultural association Orizzonti, with the collaboration of cinema Edera, and under the patronage of Veneto Region and Treviso City Council, the festival is run under the artistic direction of Gloria Aura Bortolini, journalist and filmmaker, Giuliana Fantoni, owner of cinema Edera and president of FICE, and Giuseppe Borrone, film historian.

Rules & Terms

La partecipazione al festival è riservata ai registi under 35. A tal fine, farà fede la data di nascita del regista, o dei registi, dell’opera, che non dovrà essere anteriore all’anno 1991. Esclusivamente per la sezione Lungometraggi, saranno prese in considerazione anche opere prime (nel formato lungometraggio), in deroga al limite d’età. Possono essere iscritti i film realizzati a partire dal 1° gennaio 2024. Il tema e l’argomento dei lavori sono liberi. Termine ultimo per partecipare: 1° aprile 2026.

Il festival è articolato in quattro sezioni: Cortometraggi, Documentari, Lungometraggi, Focus Nordest.

Attraverso il sito internet ufficiale – www.ederafilmfestival.it – è possibile consultare tutte le notizie relative alla manifestazione. Ulteriori informazioni possono essere richieste inviando una e-mail a info@ederafilmfestival.it.

E’ consentito partecipare alle selezioni del festival, iscrivendo più di un film.

Tutte le opere iscritte, anche quelle con dialoghi in italiano, dovranno essere munite di sottotitoli in inglese. I film sprovvisti di sottotitoli, ad eccezione di quelli già recitati in inglese, non saranno presi in considerazione. In caso di selezione, agli autori di film stranieri sarà richiesto l’invio di una copia con sottotitoli in italiano.

Only under 35 directors can submit their films. In order to comply with the main rule of the festival, directors’ year of birth must not be prior to 1991, and films must have been completed not before 2024. The only exception is for first time directors of feature films, whose works will be accepted even if the director is over 35. Films can deal with any issue. Deadline: 1st April 2026.

The four sections of the festival are: Short films, Documentaries, Feature films, Focus North-East.

It is possible to submit more than one film.

All submissions must be subtitled in English, except for those ones which are already spoken in English. In case of selection, the directors of international films will be asked to send a copy with Italian subtitles.

    Onorati di aver partecipato a questo festival e di aver proiettato il corto in un cinema così speciale. Accoglienza e ospitalità a fantastica, così come il resto dell'esperienza.
    Con l'occasione ne abbiamo approfittato per visitare la città, davvero molto bella!

    It's a young and fast growing festival, the films shown were absolutely fantastic, a very nice location of the Cinema Edera, an established and also very well known cinema within a renewed area close to the city centre. The staff were very accommodating and there were networking opportunities each day in the cinema room with a nice glass of Prosecco offered. If anyone wants to see how talented young directors are, this is the place.
