Ed Castañeda is a first-generation Mexican-American who lives in Seattle, Washington with his wife, daughter, and rescue puppy. Ed was born in the East Side of Toledo, Ohio. Ed has always pursued creativity as a means to express himself. After high-school he pursued music, playing and managing a few successful local bands. Struggling to survive as a musician, Ed turned to technology. He worked hard and had had a successful career in the software / technology field for over 20 years, finding creativity in writing code. As Ed grew into management, he longed for other creative outlets. That led Ed to his most recent endeavor, filmmaking. In two short years, Ed has completed several film courses, created three student films, and four different short films for Seattle’s 48-hour film project, winning awards for three of those films. Ed has a goal to complete his career shift and devote all his time and energy to writing, directing, and producing films.
