Ebony Walden is a storyteller, racial equity consultant, writer and speaker whose work centers on travel, transformation, and liberation. She has journeyed to 49 countries and all 50 U.S. states, weaving her experiences into creative projects that highlight Black culture and resilience across the globe.
Her first docuseries, Black Beyond Borders, is a DIY exploration of diaspora connections through travel, culture, creativity and cuisine. She is the author of the forthcoming memoir Where I’m From: A Poetic Journey Across Five Continents (She Writes Press, 2026) about her eight-month 15 country trip around the world volunteering, backpacking and creating "Where I am From" poems with new friends abroad.
Ebony hosts Black Beyond Borders: The Podcast, which shares stories of Black people across the diaspora finding home, belonging, and connection around the world. She also hosts Black Coochie, a podcast exploring Black women’s sexuality, spirituality, and freedom, and created the Richmond Racial Equity Essays (www.racialequityessays.com), a multimedia project amplifying local voices envisioning racial justice in Richmond, Virginia and beyond.
