Earl Bolden, Jr. is a multifaceted producer and director best known for his work on the short film “NATE,” a story highlighting the toxic side of codependency in friendship. The thriller is not only the first release under Bolden Pictures, but marks Earl's directorial debut, and is currently touring the festival circuit.
Earl developed an affinity for directing while working on sets of numerous film and television productions. Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, he served as a first assistant director and production assistant on Emmy-winning and nominated series “Scandal” (ABC), “Seal Team” (CBS) and “Lucifer”(Netflix), and feature films including “Captain Marvel” and “Lucy in the Sky.”
Earl began his career as a producer for “God and Vodka,” a critically acclaimed short film that earned 41 awards from 26 festivals. He also produced the speculative television pilot “Very Smart Brothas,” which was showcased in the New York Television Festival and competed against 60 independently produced pilots during its debut.
Mr. Bolden is a proud graduate of Hampton University, where he studied theatre production management, and earned a master’s degree in producing for motion pictures and television from the New York Film Academy. He currently resides in his hometown of Los Angeles with his wife, Andrea Thornton Bolden, a screenwriter and partner on three of his projects, including “NATE."
