After spending 3 years as an actor I decided to stop waiting for the perfect dramatic role and write one for myself. It was initially just a scene when I showed it to my DP Jordan, but he convinced me to flesh it out to a full short. I scouted every location, all props, SAG-AFTRA paperwork, casting, obtained equipment, and self-taught myself Adobe Cloud. I don't say this to boast but to emphasize how much I've learned through this experience. The last time I filmed anything was for a 5th grade science project where I had my dog eat treats from a potted plant to demonstrate photosynthesis. I have never done this before, and after everything I've learned, I can't wait to do it again.
