With well over a decade as a professional writer and editor, including in film and journalism, Dutch has written everything from magazine articles to film scripts.

All of Dutch's screenplays have advanced in notable script competitions, including the Austin Film Festival, the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards, the ScreenCraft Horror Competition, and the Emerging Screenwriters Screenplay Competition.

In 2022, Dutch wrote, directed and scored the horror short "Inhaler." He was also the co-recipient of “Best Film” at the 2014 Philly DoGooder Film Awards for the documentary short “Meet Jay.” His work in journalism has resulted in several awards by the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association.
