Du Vert A L'infini: The New Music Initiative for performers and composers is an annual festival in Franche Comte, France focused on promoting collaborative relationships between composers and performers to create new works. Each composer is paired with a performer or ensemble, and they collaborate through the creation, premier, and recording of new work.

Selected works will be screen in Château de Fresne-Saint-Mamès, a 17th-century castle, as a projection mapping project.

Du Vert à l’Infini 2021 - Call for Collaborative Projects

The goal of this Call for Collaborative Projects is to promote artistic collaborations and interactions between composers and visual artists resulting in a selection of audiovisual works to be premiered during the Du Vert à l’Infini Festival International du Musique Nouvelle 2021 in Fresne-Saint-Mamès, Franche Comte.

Composers and visual artists without any restriction can apply as individuals by completing the application form and providing two samples of their work.

The organization will select and propose up to 15 collaborative groups upon reviewing all candidates. Each group will be responsible to create a new audiovisual piece and to deliver it electronically in a mp4 file format.

The duration should be between 1 and 3 minutes.

The style and subject are free but we encourage to reflect with this new creation on the effects of the pandemic in artistic creation.

Although desired, the physical presence of the artists in the premiere is not required and all precautions will be observed upon the evolution of the health emergency.

Application deadline: 11:59 PM CET May 24, 2021. Incomplete applications will not be considered

The groups invited to participate will be announced on June 1st, 2021.

The final pieces will have to be delivered no later than July 10th, 2021.

Premiere date TBA. Tentatvely July 24, 2021.

All fees have been waived for this call to facilitate the participation of artists whose work and performance opportunities have been impacted by the pandemic restriction.
