Welcome to the Dollhouse of Horror Festival!

Dollhouse of Horror, is a horror film festival by women in horror, with a focus on women of color and queer folks of color!!

Our film festival will take place in Los Angeles, CA in July 2026!!

Dollhouse of Horror is an Independent Filmmaker Program and Film Festival that supports women and queer folks, by investing directly in their projects through our grant programs and film festival!

Our grant program submission dates are as follows-

Rules & Terms

Bite Size Shorts $2k Grant Program: SUBMISSIONS OPEN JANUARY 1ST 2026!!
1) Screenplays must be able to be made for $2,000, with a minimum runtime of 8 minutes and not exceed 15 minutes.
2) Screenplays MUST be able to be shot within 30 days of receiving grant money. *Filmmakers must be female identifying or queer identifying*
3) Please note, upon notification of grant reward, selected filmmakers will receive the $2,000 via Direct Deposit (we will reach out directly to get your direct deposit information)!

Thank you for your interest in submitting your film to the 2026 Dollhouse of Horror Festival. Our festival is open to all genres of horror. Submissions Open OCTOBER 31, 2025, and we will accept submissions until FEBRUARY 27TH, 2026 on FilmFreeway (HORROR

GRANT PROGRAM SUBMISSIONS-
Bite Size Shorts $2k Grant Program: CLOSE MARCH 1ST 2026!!
Films must have been completed after January 1, 2025. Short films must be no more than a year old at the time of the festival in July 2026. Short films older than this time frame will not be considered.

★Feature-length films including international features do not have to have a world premiere in order to be considered. Short films must be an LA premiere.

★Feature films and short films must not have had any commercial theatrical, television, or internet/online play in the US at the time of the festival.

★Feature films and short films in a language other than English must be subtitled in English for festival presentation.

Film length that should determine your film submission type:

Bite Size Shorts Scripted and Unscripted: 10 minutes or less.
Feature Films Scripted and Unscripted films: 40 minutes or more

For submission purposes, online screeners can be works-in-progress, films with temporary soundtracks or digital outputs. Rough cuts and works-in-progress can ONLY be submitted in the FINAL deadline and ONLY if the completed film will be available by JANUARY 8TH, 2026.

SUBMISSION INFO:

We will accept feature films completed after January 2025. Shorts cannot be more than a year old.

You will be notified of acceptance via phone or email.

Complete press kits for films will be requested only after acceptance.

If accepted, a film trailer for promotion is MANDATORY.

Acceptable screening formats are: DCP.

All entries selected into Dollhouse of Horror give the right for Dollhouse of Horror to use any and all footage (preview screener/all submitted photos/etc) sent to us for promotional purposes ONLY, without limitations.
