Located in Hunt Country, Virginia, Doc Week Middleburg is a non-profit week-long film festival presenting 5 films over 5 evenings from Tuesday through Saturday during the 3rd week of May.

Each year we bring 5 thought provoking, educational, and diverse documentary films to our local community of film lovers. We show our films in an outdoor amphitheater setting and pair each film with a local restaurant which provides boxed dinners for our filmgoers.

We are in our fifth year and have developed a strong following of patrons who enjoy documentary films and the interaction with film makers.

In 2022 we created the Jack Fox Jury Prize for Best Documentary.

Our 2022 and 2023 winners included Bernadette Wegenstein for “The Conductor” and Lizzie Gottlieb for her outstanding documentary, “Turn Every Page”.

*Our submission criteria is that the film must be a documentary feature film over 50 minutes.

*We do not accept short films.

*Although not mandatory, we prefer to have someone from the film in attendance for an introduction and short Q&A following the film with our audience members.

*Fees are nonrefundable.

*Competition is open to U.S. and International entries.

*Films not in English must be subtitled with English subtitles.
