Diwa Filipino Film Festival is now fiscally sponsored by Shunpike, and is expected to have both an in-person and virtual component in October 2024. Stay tuned for updates!

Belated thank you to Adrian Alarilla, Joann Natalia Aquino and the rest of the Programming Team at the Diwa Filipino Film Festival of Seattle for selecting my narrative short, "Morena" in 2023 and my documentary short, "Boxed" in 2019! I'm so grateful for the opportunity to return to the festival. Their team ensures the visibility of each filmmaker and offers a welcoming, safe environment for everyone to connect over their stories.

  • DIWA Filipino Film Festival is what we wish every festival was like: warm, attentive, communicative, and passionate about their filmmakers' work. The collection of films they curated were diverse in content and high in quality. If only I could complete a film more often, I would submit to them every year. Thank you for having "Your blue heart" at this year's festival!

I submitted my short film "Reboluyson" to Diwa Filipino Film Festival of Seattle and was part of the Filmmaker's Panel! It was a blast getting to do a group one with other filmmakers and recieve insight from other AAPI Folks outside of my area.

Five big stars for Diwa Filipino Film Festival of Seattle. Though I wasn't able to join in person, I loved being able to enjoy the films online. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring new voices into the field and celebrate the ongoing achievements of Filipino Filmmakers throughout the diaspora. I look forward to returning to this festival again and again and again.
