1. Auditions were done over FaceTime with the express encouragement to come as you are, breathe as you are, be as you are and just banter with the director. No script. Just improv. Shannon Whalen was having such a great time during the audition that her parting words were "You know what? I don't care if the script turns out to be terrible, I like you so much, I'll do it anyway". She was requested for a callback then and there.
2. Dianne conducted an array of callbacks during her work hours as a host at a co-working space in Union Square (NYC). She weaved in saying her lines to other actresses auditioning for the role of 'Dylan' whilst giving stellar customer service to her members. It was the improv leaping off from the scripted pages amidst people coming in and out of the building that made the callbacks all the more memorable.
3. Shannon Whalen's callback was conducted during Dianne's lunch break at Phebe's Tavern (East Village) whilst having an argument with Dianne's ex-husband at the time. All of this was done over a salmon burger and wedge fries.
