My voice as a writer and director is that of a curious tone. I find connections in disparate things, notions and situations and turn them on their head to recreate a startling new viewpoint which is personal, emotional and spiritual in nature.
I favor real over perfection and always seek honest connection. My heart collects these experiences in the real world then my imagination captures it's essence through my love of cinema.
Influences that follow me to this day is the compassionate eye of Sean Baker films and the simplicity of Carl Th. Dreyer's work, in particular "The Passion of Joan of Arc".
From the EPK: An Aussie expat living in NYC for the past nine years, she shot "Cloud Gazing" to get her feet wet as a first time filmmaker (on the contrary, she's drenched to the bone and quite philosophical about this). She cooks a mean chicken soup and as a humble gesture wants to make friends who can help her make more films that bring a deeper empathy, compassion and humor to a world that feels heavy (at times) on differences.
