Dhanur Ramana is a filmmaker, director, and former IT leader whose life defines the triumph of the human spirit. Beginning his career in the 1990s, Dhanur rose through the ranks of the tech world, serving as a Project Lead across the government, aviation, and financial sectors before transitioning into business consultancy.
In December 2023, Dhanur faced a life-altering diagnosis: Stage 4 tongue cancer. Despite a grueling 19-hour surgery and a prognosis that challenged his ability to speak or walk, Dhanur refused to let his dreams be silenced. Through sheer discipline—including a rigorous physical rehabilitation and speech practice—he rebuilt his strength from the ground up.
Today, Dhanur has traded IT systems for cinematic storytelling. A graduate of the MediaCorp Assistant Director program, he recently directed, produced, and acted in his first short film. Dhanur continues to prove that while a voice can be altered, a vision is unstoppable.
