Denis Pejovic was born in Vienna, Austria. Both his parents are from Serbia. He is a writer and director who studied theatre and film in Vienna. He attended Michael Haneke‘s directors‘ program at Filmakademie Wien. During his early years, he worked with actors and non-actors in Serbia and as assistant director for theatre productions in Vienna. He has written and directed several short films in Austria. His style can be described as minimalistic, recurring topics are ‚family‘ and the relationship between older and younger generations. In 2024, he started studying ‚The Meisner Technique‘ with Steven Ditmyer and is currently preparing for the production of a short film set in Serbia.
