Delphyne Bella Panther-Brutzkus is a filmmaker born and based in Chicago, where her love for punk, poetry, and human complexity meets the world of experimental cinema. With a BFA in Digital Cinema (Directing) from DePaul University, she writes, directs, edits, and often builds her films from the ground up — sometimes literally, with tiny clay houses or handmade costumes. Her practice is rooted in feeling first: pulling concepts from the air and shaping them into something tangible, emotional, and alive.
Her work is split between two beating hearts — one tender, observant, drawn to the beauty and absurdity of everyday moments; the other playful, wily, and willing to twist form and tone just to see what breaks open. Whether she's exploring vulnerability, guilt, or the humor in a hard day, Delphyne creates films like one might write in a journal — with curiosity, catharsis, and the belief that even the smallest moments are worth remembering.
