Deepi is a writer/director who has worked in commercial production for the past ten years, and is the co-author of A Woman's Place (Little, Brown and Company). In 2023, she directed/produced/edited her first docu short, Controlled Chaos, and wrote/directed/produced her first narrative short, The Goods. Her former life as an art director drives Deepi's visual storytelling through the use of colour and contrast. Collaboration and being agile in the creative process is at the core of how she works: from set design and styling, to lighting and camera movement, to music through the final cut, the end product is a labour of love and teamwork Deepi feels blessed to be a part of.
