A debut film can be the roadmap for an entire oeuvre. So let's get started. DEBUT22 offers a meeting point for filmmakers from all over the world.

to learn from successes
All this in an environment with the flair of Hollywood on the Rocks. We are curious and want your first film.

9-12 directors will be invited to Klosters. They will share their filmmaking experiences with the audience and be available for exciting film discussions.

An established "special guest" will present his/her debut film on the opening evening. During a public master class, he/she will talk about cinema and answer questions.

Rules & Terms

Submit your first feature film. All genres in feature length (min. 60Min) are welcome - subtitled in German or English.

    The most beautiful and inspiring film festival I’ve ever attended. The organizers are people of great class, intelligence, and integrity. They also take amazing care of the participating artists. This is a festival that moves with the spirit of our times, where we need vibrant communities, where art intertwines with everyday life and nature. Where film comes alive because it is accompanied by genuine encounters and exchanges of ideas. Passion. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. I wish I could go there with every film.
