Debora de Sola Habsburg is a multicultural writer, director, producer, and actor. She was born in El Salvador to German and Spanish immigrant parents and has French Nationality. Growing up in El Salvador at a time of war and living through her husband’s accident, which left him handicapped, enhanced Debora’s sensibility and empathy for a myriad of human experiences. Having immigrated to, and lived in, eight countries has taught her to adapt to an array of social and cultural differences. Her diverse background has given her a deep insight into the common aspects of the human journey, which have given a range, and depth, to the characters she chooses to portray in her films. In 2014 Debora founded Pollination Pictures to develop films that connect us to another person’s experience or culture, to expand limited perceptions, create greater understanding, and hopefully inspire audiences to become more accepting and fight bigotry.
