Dean Cummings is an Associate Professor at Georgia Southern University. He teaches media writing, television pilot production, and multimedia journalism. He is a nine-time regional Emmy winner for producing, videography and editing. He is a seven-time Telly-winning videographer. He’s also a two-time Michigan Associated Press television news photojournalist of the year. He earned his Ph.D. in journalism studies from Sheffield University in 2013.
