This is an event to showcase projects that you have already created! Get excited! We want YOU to show off work you’re proud of to your peers, family + friends. Anyone will be allowed to tune in. Take a break from finals mayhem to tune into the DePaul Shorts film festival!

DePaul Shorts was created to bring creatives together, which is why all work submitted will be accepted! Students want to see what their peers are creating, and to make things a bit more fun, laurels will be awarded to winning films for a selection of Audience Choice Awards!

The Details:
- This festival is open for *current* SCA student s to submit through FilmFreeway
- Submissions will be accepted until 11:59pm CST on Saturday, November 14th
- The event will be held virtually on Friday, November 20th

- Projects may not exceed 5 minutes in length (including titles + credits)
- You MUST be the director or producer of the project in order to submit a short
- Only ONE submission per creator

DePaul Shorts is intended to be a quarterly event! If You have work over 5 minutes, your time will come, and if you're itching to submit additional projects, stay tuned for the next event!

DePaul Shorts is a student-run virtual film festival run by the DePaul Cinema Collaborative at DePaul University in Chicago, IL.

Laurels will be awarded by popular vote through the Audience Choice Awards. Voting will take place during the event via google forms. Neither the DCC nor the SCA Faculty have any influence as to what films will be awarded recognition. Categories to be announced at a later date.

Details:
- All types of media are accepted (animated, live-action, etc.)
- Submissions are due midnight of Saturday the 14th, late work will not be accepted.
- You MUST be the director or producer of the project in order to submit it
- All directors must be current DePaul students
- Only ONE submission per creator
- All elements need to be either owned by the filmmaker, or the proper rights need to be secured, regarding music, images, people, etc
- Rights must be attained and documented for copyrighted music. If rights cannot be proven, the movie will not be considered.
- The project must not exceed 5 minutes in length, including titles and credits
- By submitting you are consenting to your film living publicly on the internet for the duration of this festival. At the conclusion of this festival, all films will be removed from the internet
- You will only be notified if we are having issues with your submission, otherwise submitting to FilmFreeway guarantees your participation!
