Davide Asci was born on April 24th, 1998 in Genzano di Roma. He studied at the Mancinelli and Falconi Human Sciences High School in Velletri, where he developed a passion for audiovisual production. Together with some classmates, he made short films such as "È ora di cambiare", which won third prize at the Lazio Cinema e Storia competition, and "L’ultima pagina di speranza", winner of the first phase of the "I Giovani e la Shoah" competition. During this time, he founded and directed the school newspaper and taught film workshops at the school and at some private schools, where he made other short films with the children.
In 2018, after graduating, he directed the film workshop for the "I Tesori del Futuro" association in Aprilia, where he became the director of the after-school section. He also began working as a filmmaker and photographer for "Be Happy Eventi" and schools such as "Mondo dei Sogni" in Aprilia.
In 2019, he won the first phase of the entrance exam at the Experimental Cinematography Center, he gratuated in film directing at the Accademia del Cinema Renoir, recognized by the Lazio Region. The same year, he won the "Torno Subito" scholarship to study at the New York Film Academy, but had to give it up due to the pandemic. In 2020, he won the scholarship to enter the Officina Pasolini School of Higher Artistic Training, where he graduated in Videomaking and Audiovisual Directing. He also attended the screenwriting course "How to write a great story" by Francesco Trento. In the same year, he enrolled in the Arts and Sciences of Perfoming course at La Sapienza University, winning several scholarships, including two Erasmus mobilities at the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona and the University of Kent, where he deepened his linguistic and practical studies in audiovisual production.
Meanwhile, he worked as a tutor for students with learning disabilities using his knowledge of audiovisual production and graphics to teach them. In 2023, he won a collaboration scholarship to work as a classroom tutor for the PCTO at La Sapienza and the "Torno Subito" scholarship to study in the ESRA International Film School in Paris.
Finally, he has a prolific volunteer activity, and at the beginning of 2023 he participated in the training course on conflict resolution pedagogy at Rondine, Citadel of Peace, in order to prepare the artistic workshops present at the Senzatomica exhibition, partner of ICAN, awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017.
