"A Circle in the Desert,"
is David’s first feature-length film. It leads viewers on a spectacular journey through place and time, following his fifty years of exploring the incredible red-rock canyons and arches country of Utah's Colorado Plateau and documents his powerful Spirit Quest: the pursuit of a Vision. David made a medicine circle in a remote place deep in the desert and sat in it for two days, asking the Universe for a vision. Such requests may or may not be answered, and if they are, the answer often comes in an unexpected form.

"Spirit Song of the Desert"
is David's newest feature-length film, exploring his search for a magical Spirit Song throughout all of the major deserts of the American West. It takes viewers on a journey from the Amazon Jungle, where he encountered and worked with shamanic practices that use Icaros, or magical songs, to facilitate important work with the jungle's powerful visionary plant medicines like Ayahuasca, to his search for such a power song of his own in the spectacular deserts of North America.
"Spirit Song of the Desert" is a musical, poetic, philosophical journey of great beauty and deep introspection.
