Launching in 2004 on nationwide tv for Wellington Fashion Week the Label and Designer have taken off with the advent of creating a Sub Culture, Live Shows, mentoring and plain hard work.
Inspiration comes from the greats in fashion history DIOR, GALLIANO, BALENCIAGA who is then re interpreted into my Indigenous impression.
I grew up in the 70s & 80s here in Aotearoa (nz) during the fun days of white rules and i recall them saying "why dont the bloody maori's use what we gave them" .... so i did!!! .. even today in 2019 NZ has been had up for its own racism and i have started to hear this all again .. so its venture forth create - educate
