Darren Stewart-Jones was nominated for a 2025 Canadian Screen Award as Best Host, Web Program or Series for Ruby Tries Everything. He is a member of the Playwrights Guild of Canada and has written and/or produced several short films, including Digging Up Dorothy and Ramblings of a Middle Aged Drag Queen. Previously, Darren was the Founding Artistic Director of the Toronto Queer Theatre Festival, an annual theatre festival dedicated to promoting LGBTQ playwrights. Darren is the screenwriter of Stroke of Fate, a short film starring Sheila McCarthy, which had its premiere on CBC Gem. Darren also co-produced the ACTRA nominated comedy series, Pink Is In, which is currently streaming in Canada on Bell Fibe TV1.
