My name is Daron L. Dixon. I grew up in Nashville, TN in a household that loved movies and film. As I got older, I started looking at more than just the actors on screen - I wanted to know who was behind the camera. I noticed that by knowing the directors and cinematographers on a particular film, I could get a good idea whether I would enjoy the movie or not. I am personally influenced by my own life as a father, a Christian, a proud African-American, and as a military veteran who continues to serve. I am also inspired by my beautiful wife and son. These aspects of my life not only influence my work, but help create a unique outlook and approach to every film I work on. I recently graduated from Lipscomb University as a graduate student in the Film and Creative Arts department.
