Dariae Willis is an Atlanta-based Documentarian and Director. She is a senior Documentary Filmmaking major at Spelman College with a passion for telling stories that center Black women in the narrative.
Through her matriculation at Spelman College Dariae has served as a Production Assistant on several independent sets of Black women directors including Deborah Riley Draper (Director of The Legacy of Black Wall Street). In 2021 Dariae became a Stay Macro Finalist in the Macro & HBCU Pitch Competition and her short documentary “My Mother’s Garden,” was featured in the Morehouse Human Rights Film Festival.
In 2022 Dariae is in the development process of creating a comedy web series along with Ciara Franklin and Daniel Kai. She is also serving as director of her upcoming feature documentary “Love IRL” set to premiere in May 2022.
