Daniel is a Peruvian filmmaker who premiered his first feature “Paradise Hotel” in Peruvian cinemas in 2019 and in Ecuador in 2020, making him one of the youngest filmmakers to do so. He then went to participate in more than 40 festivales in which he won more than 30 awards. Before that he had directed, produced and written several short films and premiered two features as producer in Peru and graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2015.
Daniel wants to continue making films with social connotations in Peru for the meantime and better the sustainability of the Peruvian filmmaking industry. For that, he founded with Peru’s biggest production companies the Association of Peruvian Filmmaking Companies which he was elected for the board of directors. He is now working on his second feature which he will film in 2021.
