Born in São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Daniel Porto began his career in 2013 as a playwright for the play "O Pastor", which received the O Globo Indica seal that year. His foray into audiovisual began in 2019, when he served as Final Editor on the comedy for Television: Vai Que Cola, remaining in the role until 2022. He was also Final Editor of the fourth season of the Humoristic "A Vila", starring Paulo Gustavo and also shown on the Multishow channel. In 2023, he directed his first short film, "CHEMSEX", with an LGBT+ theme, which was selected for the fifteenth edition of the prestigious LGBT+ Film Festival Poland and screened in nine cinemas across the country. Porto is also the author of the script for the short film "Rotina", directed by Maria Maya, filmed in New York and currently circulating in festivals throughout the United States, having been highlighted at the Golden State Film Festival at the renowned TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood . In 2024, he received a nomination for the prestigious APCA Award in the category of best adapted dramaturgy, for his work "The Adventures of Pinocchio", an adaptation of Carlo Collodi's classic. Currently, Daniel Porto is involved in the production and direction of his first feature film, "A Miss", whose script was developed during the Varilux laboratory held by the European Conservatory of Audiovisual Writing in 2021.
