Daniel's adventurous spirit was ignited while growing up on a farm in Minnesota, this led him to pursue acting in Los Angeles, performance art is Oslo Norway, and Muay Thai in Chiang Mai. After returning to LA he participated in an artist collective called The Slauson Rec Theater Company based out of South Central. Through this collective Daniel had the honor to work with talents such as Sean Penn, Kid Cudi, Moises Kaufman (Laramie Project), and Creative Director Nina McNeely (Climax, The Idol). Before directing his debut feature film Sundiata, Daniel co directed a play with actor Shia LaBeouf called 5711 Avalon. The play got rave reviews from The Hollywood Reporter “The acting, dancing and mise en scene were flawless. It’s a great achievement." Sundiata is Daniel's first documentary.
