Daniel H. Jacobson is an American-Israeli filmmaker. Born and raised in Lancaster, PA, he moved to Tel Aviv, Israel in 2008 after graduating from Clark University in Worcester, MA with a degree in Government and International Relations. In Israel, he served in the 932nd Battalion of the IDF's Nahal Infantry Brigade and later attended film school at Minshar in Tel Aviv.
Dan’s Israeli short, the 2019 Hebrew-language thriller “Down the River”, won several awards for its cast and crew, including “Best Actress” for Heli Amaresh Sanka at the 2020 New York Independent Film Festival, where Dan was also awarded with “Best Screenplay”.
He recently completed his first American film, returning to his home town of Lancaster to write, direct, and produce the historical short entitled, "1805", which premiered at the Big Apple Film Festival in New York City on May 24th, 2023.
