Daniel Gonçalves is 36 years old and lives in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Graduated in journalism at PUC-Rio and post-graduated in documentary filmmaking by Fundação Getúlio Vargas, he worked for three years on TV Globo and is now a partner of SeuFilme. Has directed the documentaries tem bala aí? (Got any Es? - 2008, 17'); Luz Guia (Guide Light - 2012, 13'); Como Seria? (How it would be? - 2014, 3'); and Pela Estrada Afora (Along the road - 2015, 14'). Co-directed and edited the short Cine Rolândia (2014), and was screenwriter and editor of Os Olhos das Ruas (The Eyes of the Streets - 2014, 15') and Ouvir com o Coração (Listen With the Heart, 2014, 13'). Has edited 23 episodes of the TV series Damas da TV, 13 of Grandes Atores (Great Actors) and 10 of Donos da História (Owners of History) for the Channel Viva. Has edited an episode of the series Eu sou assim (I'm like this) for GNT. My name is Daniel is his first feature film.
