Hailing from Melbourne, Harris' films to date have all had a very 'Melbourne-feel' about them. Diffraction and Narrators both have a slight third person fantasy aspect, whilst The Trebek Technique utilises Melbourne's status as the world's sporting capital. Apprev. marks his first departure into purely dramatic narrative.

Harris has completed five short films, and his production company of Elfenshot Films has a six-part TV series and a musical-comedy feature currently in development. The latest film completed is Tradies, directed by Christine Harris.
