+++ Due to the quality of the films received we decided to, instead of the initially planned monthly event, do a weekly short film screening, where the audience votes for their favourite film at the end – a mini festival. We are a small team who work on a completely volunteering basis, so we have not been able to watch all of the entries yet, but we'll be in touch if your film is one of the selected. *** We are deeply sorry for the delay in the notifications. We were not expecting such a huge number of submissions (more than 600 within the first 3 days). This is the first edition of our festival and our team is very small. Nevertheless we want to consider every entry for the 'Curtas do Acaso', which is why we ask for your understanding about the delay in the selection process. As soon as we will end the judging, we will notify the selected films about the new date of the screening of 'Curtas do Acaso'. The Engineers of Chance invite you to take part in the 'Curtas do Acaso' short film night: a monthly open air event that takes place in the backyard of our Atelier.
We are located in the very heart of Lisbon's old town close to the famous Praça das Flores - Square of the Flowers - in the Principe Real neighbourhood.
Our screenings aim to visualize the "acaso" or "chance", that is why we will try to show as much films as possible but at the same time give priority to those that investigate or focus on ideas related to the very chance, destiny, fado, future, past, other dimensions, possibilities, acaso.
All genres are accepted.
Os Engenheiros do Acaso convidam-o para participar nas 'Curtas do Acaso': uma noite mensal de curtas-metragens no coração do centro histórico lisboeta, entre a Praça das Flores e o Príncipe Real.
O evento terá lugar no pátio da Base dos Engenheiros do Acaso, ao ar livre.
As nossas projeções querem visualizar o acaso, por isso iremos tentar mostrar quanto mais filmes possiveis mas ao mesmo tempo dar prioridade àqueles que investigam ou focam no destino, fado, futuro, passado, outras dimensões, possibilidades, acaso.
Aceitam-se todos os géneros.
