I currently own, Wildomar Movie Ranch and Ravens Entertainment (formerly Suss-Hoyt Productions, Inc.).
Being born in Pasadena California in 1957 and raised in San Gabriel Valley, I was never far from Hollywood. My father owned a furniture store and had many TV and movie actors as clients, and once a month my parents came to visit friends in Hollywood and they'd drop me off at my Aunt's business. She owned Sunset Jewelers, right next to Schwab's. My home town of Glendora was not close to Hollywood, but when I could drive, I'd head to Hollywood and drive and drive looking for location shooting, and I found lots! I even got to see John Landis directing in 1984.Before college I took time to work selling motorhomes. The West Covina dealership again, was not near Hollywood but that didn't stop me. One slow day on a whim, I called Universal Studios to try and sell them a motorhome. (I was a kid, I'd try anything.) Well, the Universal operator put me through to the head of transportation in 1976, Mr. Hellerstein. Well they didn't buy a motorhome, but three weeks after that call, they leased their first of three. I was put as a liaison to the studio, and my A-list clients were Lindsay Wagner, Brenda Vaccaro, and Bill Bixby, all were either Oscar or Emmy winners.! I sat on TV and movie sets 4-days a week for over a year, watching, learning, and dreaming.
