The Controlled Chaos Film Festival is a student-produced showcase by the Film and Television Production program at Western Carolina University. The annual festival features class, thesis, and independent films made by students at WCU. Faculty and guest judges select the screenings and awards.

The Trailblazer Award - A special distinction for a graduating senior who has left an indelible mark on the FTP program

The Superstar Award - Given in recognition of excellent work produced on an FTP film set (this could apply to many things: the design of a prop, the composition of a song, the creation of a mask, etc., etc.)

FTP Craft Awards:
Outstanding Achievement in Editing
Outstanding Achievement in Production Design
Outstanding Achievement in Cinematography
Outstanding Achievement in Screenwriting
Outstanding Achievement in Directing

Acting Awards:
Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role
Outstanding Performance in a Supporting Role

Other awards may be given for outstanding singular efforts unique to that year's collection of films.

This first two night of the festival are only open to current students or recent graduates of the Stage and Screen program at Western Carolina University. A special waiver code will be required to submit.

Projects can only be submitted to CCFF *once* and should have been produced within the last 18 months.

Credits are required upon submission.

Some projects may be selected on a contingent basis, with required changes based on faculty/judge feedback. Deadlines on these changes will be communicated in advance.

The high school film festival (Sunday, May 3rd) is only open to current high school students and proof of student status must be included with submission (student ID, homeschool form, etc.).
