Constance Hilton is a film Director with over a decade of industry experience working as a Boom Operator. Based in Toronto, Constance directed her first short film, Mute, in 2019, which enjoyed a festival run of eighteen selections, including the St. John's International Women's Film Festival, and was awarded Best Thriller at the Imagine This Women’s Film Festival. Her follow up short comedy, The Good Word (2023), premiered at the Regina International Film Festival & Awards and was a Nominee at The Yorkton Film Festival 2024 Golden Sheaf Awards. Most recently the short comedy The Stain (2024) was awarded 2nd Place in CTV's Best In Shorts competition at Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival 2024. Constance's extensive sound credits include the Emmy winning comedy series Schitt's Creek and sci-fi thriller Orphan Black.

A lifetime love of visual storytelling lead Constance to pursue a career in film after graduating from Sheridan College's Media Arts program in 2007. Creatively she loves exploring the darker side of human interactions and all manner of genre film. Having discovered a passion for advancing labour rights and equity in the Canadian film industry, Constance has served as VP Sound on the Executive Board of NABET 700-M UNIFOR, the Ontario union of film, television and new media technicians, since 2018.
