Eligibility: We welcome comedy films in all forms - mockumentaries, rom-coms, dark comedy, sketches, silly shorts, hilarious music videos, or whatever bizarre, brilliant, and laugh-out-loud idea you’re ready to bring to the big screen. While there is no hard limit on run time, in order to showcase a wide variety of films we would prefer submissions under 15 minutes in length.
Submission Format: Films must be submitted digitally; physical media submissions will not be accepted. If selected, a downloadable copy of the film will be required.
Ownership and Rights: By submitting a film, the filmmaker(s) affirm that they have obtained all necessary rights and permissions for the film's content, including but not limited to music, images, and actors' performances.
Selection Process: Submissions will be reviewed by a selection committee appointed by Good Vibe Cinema and Noble House Media.
Screening: Selected films will be screened during the weekend of April 9th - 10th, 2027 as part of the Hi-Desert Comedy Campout at The Palms in Wonder Valley, CA.
Filmmaker Attendance: Filmmakers of selected films are encouraged to attend the festival. All selected filmmakers will receive two complimentary passes to the festival.
Promotion: By submitting a film, the filmmaker(s) grant permission for excerpts of the film to be used for promotional purposes related to the festival.
Rights Reserved: Good Vibe Cinema and Noble House Media reserve the right to disqualify any film that violates the rules or terms of the festival or for any other reason deemed necessary by the organizers.
Agreement: Submitting a film to the Hi-Desert Comedy Campout implies acceptance of these rules and terms.
