Born on April 1, 1991, Clarince Mecenario is an Independent filmmaker based in California, USA. Watching films and TV series are his hobby even before he moved abroad from Philippines. His love for cinema made him decide to pursue filmmaking at San Francisco State University. With the help of his friend Hajji, Clarince started writing and filming short films at the Bay. Driven by his passion and love in cinema, Clarince accepted the challenge to make a short film within 48 hours at San Francisco. This was his very first competition that he ever joined as a new filmmaker in the Industry. The event was successful and entertaining as it showcase the diversity and beauty of each film entry. Inspired by his accomplishment, Clarince Mecenario continue inspiring people through his film. His recent short film MAGDALENA was made during the pandemic and has garnered awards as best debut film, Honorable mention, and finalists to film festivals last 2021. This year, Clarince has completed his film entitled YOU HEAR ME. The film aims to address violence in the story of LGBTQ couple.
