Claire Gorman is an award-winning director from Melbourne, Australia. In 2009 she directed, filmed and co-edited her first feature documentary, 'First Love' at the age of 22. First Love went on to have a theatrical release in Australia in 2011, and was selected for a number of film festivals around the world, winning Best Documentary at the X-Dance Film Festival (USA) where Claire also picked up the award for Emerging Filmmaker. The film continues to be distributed world-wide. Following the success of 'First Love', Claire directed her first music video ('Go Don't Stop), working with Mat. McHugh of The Beautiful Girls. She then went on to shoot a tour in the US with Kid Mac (aka Macario De Souza) for the hit tv series,'The Crew', as well as another music video ('She Goes Off'). Back in Sydney, she produced a 'behind the scenes' piece for the multi-award winning film, Fighting Fear. And went on to work alongside legendary surf filmmaker, Taylor Steele, as DOP and editor on an artist based project in Byron Bay ('La Casa’).
Claire has recently completed her second feature documentary, 'Bigger Than Me'.
