1. ORGANIZZAZIONE E MISSION
Il CIFF è un festival internazionale dedicato alla promozione del cinema indipendente e alla valorizzazione di nuove voci artistiche, in un contesto culturale e storico unico: la città murata di Cittadella (PD).
È organizzato da Revolux Studios S.r.l., con il patrocinio del Comune di Cittadella e il sostegno di enti culturali locali.
2. CANDIDATURE E CATEGORIE
Possono partecipare opere prodotte dopo il 1° gennaio 2023, indipendentemente dalla nazionalità e dalla lingua, purché sottotitolate in inglese o italiano.
Categorie ammesse in concorso:

Cortometraggi (max 30 min)
Documentari
Animazioni
Serie web (episodi o pilot)
Music Video
Ai Video
Tutte le opere selezionate saranno valutate per premi tecnici e artistici.
3. DEADLINE E QUOTE DI ISCRIZIONE
Le iscrizioni sono aperte esclusivamente tramite la piattaforma FilmFreeway e si suddividono in:
🟢 Early Deadline – (fino al November 15, 2025)
🔵 Regular Deadline – (fino al January 31, 2026)
🔴 Late Deadline – (fino al February 28, 2026)
🔴 Extended Deadline – (fino al April 11, 2026)
🔴 Notification Date – (fino al April 11, 2026)
🔴 Event Date – (May 8 – 10, 2026)
4. REQUISITI DI AMMISSIONE
Non saranno accettate:
Opere realizzate prima del 01/01/2023
Assenza di vincoli con società di collecting
Opere già distribuite in qualsiasi forma fisica e digitale, sul web ed On Demand
Assenza di vincoli SIAE/Enti Terzi:
L'autore (e/o il produttore) iscrivendo l’opera dichiara formalmente, sotto la propria esclusiva responsabilità civile e penale, che l’opera stessa (incluse le immagini, i testi e le colonne sonore originali o meno) è libera da qualsiasi vincolo di tutela gestito dalla SIAE o da analoghe società di gestione collettiva dei diritti (es. SACEM, ASCAP, BMI, LEA, Soundreef, ecc.).
Licenza Diretta:
Con l’accettazione del presente regolamento, l'autore rilascia all'organizzazione licenza gratuita e diretta per la pubblica proiezione, dichiarando di essere l'unico titolare dei diritti e di avere piena facoltà di disporne senza intermediazione di terzi.
Manleva Illimitata:
L'autore si impegna a manlevare e tenere indenne l'organizzazione da qualsiasi pretesa economica, richiesta di risarcimento, sanzione o compenso avanzata dalla SIAE o da altri enti di riscossione in relazione alla proiezione dell’opera e alla presenza di partner o sostenitori del Festival.
Responsabilità per oneri riflessi:
Qualora la SIAE dovesse contestare all'organizzazione l'omesso pagamento di diritti d'autore a causa della mancata o errata dichiarazione dell'autore circa la propria iscrizione a enti di tutela, l'autore si obbliga a rimborsare integralmente all'organizzazione ogni somma versata (inclusi sanzioni, interessi e spese legali) entro 15 giorni dalla richiesta formale.
Ulteriori esclusioni:
Opere già inviate in precedenti edizioni del CIFF
Opere amatoriali o scolastiche di base
Opere realizzate da membri dello staff CIFF
Opere con contenuti illegali, discriminatori, propagandistici e pornografici
5. MATERIALI RICHIESTI
Ogni candidatura deve includere:
File video in .mp4 (codec h.264), download abilitato
Poster verticale A4 (300dpi JPG o PDF)
Sinossi breve (200–350 caratteri)
Scheda tecnica completa: Regia, Cast, Sceneggiatura, Fotografia, Montaggio, Musica, Suono, VFX, ecc.
Sottotitoli obbligatori in inglese per tutte le opere
I files devono esse caricati nella Piattaforma di Filmfreeway, Festhome & Sfilmakers
Non verranno presi in considerazione altre modalità di consegna dei materiali.
⚠️ L’invio errato dei materiali o file non conformi può comportare l’esclusione.
6. SELEZIONE
Le opere saranno esaminate da una commissione tecnica e, se ritenute idonee, ammesse alla selezione ufficiale (annuncio: 16 aprile 2026).
Una giuria artistica esterna assegnerà i premi.
"Selezionati" o "Selected" su Filmfreeway, Fest Home o Sfilmakers, non significa automaticamente essere ufficialmente selezionati nel festival, con la conseguente proiezione dell'opera, ma che l'opera e' di idonea qualita' ed e' in valutazione della giuria.
Le opere DEFINITIVAMENTE SELEZIONATE riceveranno una mail di CONFERMA DEFINITIVA UFFICIALE, con la richiesta di conferma della propria presenza al festival, per lo screening, eventuale consegna di premi ed attestati.
Una giuria artistica esterna assegnerà i premi.
I giudizi sono insindacabili.

In caso di assenza alla cerimonia, i premi saranno spediti (spese a carico del destinatario, entro 6 mesi).
8. PROIEZIONI
Il festival si svolgerà in presenza, con eventuale sezione online a discrezione dell’organizzazione. I file per la proiezione devono rispettare i requisiti tecnici comunicati in fase di selezione.
9. DIRITTI E RESPONSABILITÀ
Con l’iscrizione, l’autore:
Dichiara di essere maggiorenne e titolare dei diritti sull’opera
Solleva il CIFF da ogni responsabilità legale su copyright e contenuti e pregressa regolarità contrattuale tra gli autori, produttori ed realizzatori dell'opera
Autorizza l’uso non commerciale di estratti e materiali per la promozione del festival
10. CONDIZIONI AGGIUNTIVE
Il festival non copre spese di viaggio/soggiorno, ma offrirà convenzioni con strutture partner
Se in una categoria vi sono meno di 3 opere idonee, la sezione potrà essere annullata (fee rimborsata)
Le opere fuori concorso devono comunque accettare integralmente il presente regolamento
11. MOTIVI DI ESCLUSIONE
Il CIFF si riserva il diritto di escludere o squalificare opere in caso di:
Candidatura di opere già distribuite in qualsivoglia modo
Materiali mancanti o non conformi
Informazioni poco chiare, parziali o forvianti nella comunicazione ed infografica
Comunicazione grafica del progetto oggettivamente di mediocre o scarsa qualità
Contenuti contrari alla legge o incitanti all’odio
Comportamenti violenti o scorrettezze verso il festival
Tentativi di influenzare la giuria
Falsità nelle informazioni fornite
Non regolarità contrattuale pregressa nelle produzioni che candidano le loro opere. A campione potrebbe essere chiesto di esibire la regolarità contrattuale tra le parti che hanno costituito l'opera, a dimostrazione della legale produzione, e qua remunerazione tra le parti e regolarità contrattuale e retributiva. Verrà chiesta visione della documentazione standard richiesta anche dalle distribuzioni prima del processo distributivo, ovvero il contratto di cessione dei diritti della sceneggiatura tra autore e casa di produzione, contratto d'incarico regia, contratto tipo per staff ed operatori tecnici e contratto tipo attori/comparse.
DIRITTI
Titolarità dei diritti
L’autore/partecipante dichiara e garantisce di essere titolare esclusivo di tutti i diritti di utilizzazione economica sull’opera presentata, ovvero di aver acquisito da terzi tutti i diritti necessari per la sua piena e legittima utilizzazione nell’ambito del Festival.
Assenza di vincoli con società di collecting
L’autore dichiara che l’opera presentata, incluse tutte le sue componenti (a titolo esemplificativo ma non esaustivo: musica, immagini, testi, voice-over), non è amministrata dalla SIAE né da altre società di gestione collettiva dei diritti d’autore, oppure, in alternativa, di aver ottenuto tutte le autorizzazioni necessarie per la proiezione pubblica dell’opera nell’ambito del Festival, senza oneri a carico dell’organizzazione.
Musiche e contenuti di terzi
L’autore garantisce che:
tutte le musiche utilizzate sono originali oppure libere da diritti o con licenze idonee all’uso pubblico;
eventuali contenuti di terzi (immagini, video, testi, suoni) sono stati utilizzati con regolare autorizzazione dei rispettivi titolari dei diritti.
Manleva
L’autore si impegna a manlevare e tenere indenne l’organizzazione del Festival da qualsiasi richiesta, pretesa, azione o rivendicazione da parte di terzi, inclusa la SIAE o altre collecting societies, relativa all’utilizzo dell’opera.
Responsabilità
Ogni responsabilità in merito a eventuali violazioni di diritti d’autore, diritti connessi o diritti di terzi resta esclusivamente in capo all’autore/partecipante.
Accettazione
L’organizzazione si riserva il diritto di escludere le opere che non rispettino tali requisiti o per le quali non venga fornita adeguata documentazione comprovante i diritti dichiarati.
12. ACCETTAZIONE
L’iscrizione al CIFF implica la piena accettazione di tutte le clausole presenti nel regolamento.

14. CRITERI UFFICIALI DI VALUTAZIONE DELLA GIURIA
Ogni film sarà valutato con punteggio da 1 a 10 per ciascun criterio.
Il punteggio finale sarà determinato dalla media ponderata.

1. ORGANIZATION AND MISSION
CIFF is an international festival dedicated to the promotion of independent cinema and the enhancement of new artistic voices, in a unique cultural and historical context: the walled city of Cittadella (PD).
It is organized by Revolux Studios S.r.l., with the patronage of the Municipality of Cittadella and the support of local cultural institutions.
2. SUBMISSIONS AND CATEGORIES
Works produced after January 1, 2023 are eligible, regardless of nationality and language, provided they include English or Italian subtitles.
Categories admitted in competition:
Feature Films
Short Films (max 30 min)
Documentaries
Animations
Web Series (episodes or pilot)
Music Video
AI Video
All selected works will be evaluated for technical and artistic awards.
3. DEADLINES AND SUBMISSION FEES
Submissions are open exclusively through the FilmFreeway platform and are divided into:

4. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
The following will not be accepted:
Works produced before 01/01/2023
Absence of constraints with collecting societies
Works already distributed in any physical or digital form, on the web and On Demand
Absence of constraints with SIAE/Third-Party Entities:
By submitting the work, the author (and/or producer) formally declares, under their exclusive civil and criminal responsibility, that the work itself (including images, texts and soundtracks, whether original or not) is free from any protection constraints managed by SIAE or similar collective rights management organizations (e.g. SACEM, ASCAP, BMI, LEA, Soundreef, etc.).
Direct License:
By accepting these regulations, the author grants the organization a free and direct license for public screening, declaring to be the sole rights holder and to have full authority to dispose of them without third-party intermediation.
Unlimited Indemnity:
The author undertakes to indemnify and hold harmless the organization from any economic claim, compensation request, sanction or fee advanced by SIAE or other collecting entities in relation to the screening of the work and the presence of partners or supporters of the Festival.
Liability for consequential charges:
Should SIAE contest the organization for non-payment of copyright due to the author’s failure or incorrect declaration regarding their registration with rights protection entities, the author undertakes to fully reimburse the organization for any amount paid (including penalties, interest and legal fees) within 15 days from the formal request.
Further exclusions:
Works already submitted in previous CIFF editions
Amateur or basic school works
Works created by CIFF staff members
Works containing illegal, discriminatory, propagandistic or pornographic content
5. REQUIRED MATERIALS
Each submission must include:
Video file in .mp4 (codec h.264), download enabled
Vertical A4 poster (300dpi JPG or PDF)
Short synopsis (200–350 characters)
Complete technical sheet: Direction, Cast, Screenplay, Cinematography, Editing, Music, Sound, VFX, etc.
Mandatory English subtitles for all works
Files must be uploaded on the FilmFreeway, Festhome & Sfilmakers platforms
No other submission methods will be considered.
⚠️ Incorrect submission of materials or non-compliant files may result in exclusion.
6. SELECTION
Works will be examined by a technical committee and, if deemed suitable, admitted to the official selection (announcement: April 16, 2026).
An external artistic jury will assign the awards.
"Selected" on FilmFreeway, Fest Home or Sfilmakers does not automatically mean official selection in the festival with consequent screening, but that the work is of suitable quality and under jury evaluation.
DEFINITIVELY SELECTED works will receive an OFFICIAL FINAL CONFIRMATION email, with a request to confirm their presence at the festival for screening and possible award ceremony.
An external artistic jury will assign the awards.
Judgments are final.
7. AWARDS
Winners will be awarded during the final ceremony with:

In case of absence at the ceremony, awards will be shipped (shipping costs borne by the recipient, within 6 months).
8. SCREENINGS
The festival will take place in person, with a possible online section at the discretion of the organization. Screening files must comply with the technical requirements communicated during selection.
9. RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
By submitting, the author:
Declares to be of legal age and holder of the rights to the work
Releases CIFF from any legal responsibility regarding copyright, content and prior contractual regularity between authors, producers and creators of the work
Authorizes the non-commercial use of excerpts and materials for festival promotion
10. ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
The festival does not cover travel/accommodation expenses, but will offer agreements with partner facilities
If a category has fewer than 3 eligible works, the section may be canceled (fee refunded)
Out-of-competition works must still fully accept these regulations
11. GROUNDS FOR EXCLUSION
CIFF reserves the right to exclude or disqualify works in case of:
Submission of works already distributed in any form
Missing or non-compliant materials
Unclear, partial or misleading information in communication and infographic
Objectively mediocre or poor-quality project graphic communication
Content contrary to law or inciting hatred
Violent behavior or misconduct towards the festival
Attempts to influence the jury
False information provided
Lack of prior contractual regularity in productions submitting their works. Random checks may require proof of contractual regularity between the parties involved in the creation of the work, demonstrating legal production, fair remuneration and contractual compliance. Documentation required by distributors before the distribution process may be requested, including: screenplay rights transfer agreement between author and production company, director contract, standard contracts for crew and technical operators, and standard contracts for actors/extras.
RIGHTS
Ownership of rights
The author/participant declares and guarantees to be the exclusive holder of all economic exploitation rights of the submitted work, or to have acquired from third parties all necessary rights for its full and legitimate use within the Festival.
Absence of constraints with collecting societies
The author declares that the submitted work, including all its components (by way of example but not limited to: music, images, texts, voice-over), is not managed by SIAE or other collective rights management organizations, or alternatively, that all necessary authorizations have been obtained for public screening within the Festival, without any costs borne by the organization.
Music and third-party content
The author guarantees that:
all music used is original or royalty-free or licensed for public use;
any third-party content (images, videos, texts, sounds) has been used with proper authorization from the respective rights holders.
Indemnity
The author undertakes to indemnify and hold harmless the Festival organization from any request, claim, action or demand by third parties, including SIAE or other collecting societies, related to the use of the work.
Responsibility
Any responsibility regarding possible violations of copyright, related rights or third-party rights remains exclusively with the author/participant.
Acceptance
The organization reserves the right to exclude works that do not comply with these requirements or for which adequate documentation proving the declared rights is not provided.

Submission to CIFF implies full acceptance of all clauses in these regulations.

Each film will be evaluated with a score from 1 to 10 for each criterion.
The final score will be determined by a weighted average.
